    Founded in 2010, Baby Buddha Photography was one of the very first dedicated newborn studios established in the Geelong region.

    At a time when the idea of newborn photography as an independent genre was still in its infancy, Baby Buddha Photography grew to accrue a loyal clientele and a steadfast reputation for dedication and professionalism within the industry.

    Through our Pure Newborn & Outdoor Newborn Sessions, we continue to create the natural newborn images our studio has become synonymous with.

    In addition to customised newborn portraiture, Baby Buddha Photography also offers Family and Maternity sessions.

A Pure Newborn Session with Baby Conor

When this little bundle of sweetness came into our Highton studio for his Pure Newborn session, he was the third baby in his family to do so.  Over the years, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to photograph many Geelong families and it’s exciting every single time I learn someone is adding to their brood.

Steph and Adam and their two beautiful daughters recently welcomed baby Conor, and like his sisters before him, he is such a delight.  He does the cutest expressions when he sneezes, as you’ll see in the images below.

A Family Session in Ocean Grove

You never know how a family session is going to go, there are just so many variables – the weather, the light, the appropriateness of the chosen location, the temperament of your clients, their connection with each other… With the Skinners travelling all the way from the other side of Melbourne to Ocean Grove for their family session, and this being the first time we would meet, I had absolutely no idea what to expect.

What greeted me was a relaxed and loving family.  The wind was crazy on the evening of their shoot and sand was blowing everywhere.  It didn’t faze them.  The two girls were happy to be hanging out with their big brother while their proud parents looked on.  I didn’t have to encourage connection because it was already there.  I loved hanging out with these guys.
