    Founded in 2010, Baby Buddha Photography was one of the very first dedicated newborn studios established in the Geelong region.

    At a time when the idea of newborn photography as an independent genre was still in its infancy, Baby Buddha Photography grew to accrue a loyal clientele and a steadfast reputation for dedication and professionalism within the industry.

    Through our Pure Newborn & Outdoor Newborn Sessions, we continue to create the natural newborn images our studio has become synonymous with.

    In addition to customised newborn portraiture, Baby Buddha Photography also offers Family and Maternity sessions.

Studio Maternity Session with Kristi

I’ve been chatting with lots of pregnant mums lately.  I think the waiting in pregnancy is the hardest part, especially those last few weeks where the end seems so close and yet soooooooooo darn far.  When each day seems to stretch from 24 to 244 hours and every morning you wake up wondering if today will be the day.

The lovely Kristi is nearing the end of her third trimester and decided to have some maternity images taken in our Highton studio to remember these final days.   She brought along her two mini-me daughters, Asha & Maeve and it became obvious very quickly, just how excited the girls are to meet their new sibling.

An Outdoor Session with the Andersons

How good is the weather at this time of year!  Far too nice to be stuck indoors.  I’ve been really enjoying the diversity of going from studio newborn sessions with adorable sleepy babes during the day, to hanging out with beautiful families in natural surrounds in the evenings.

When I caught up with this lovely family, they had recently welcomed baby Rose.  Big sister Maeve was so proud and loving towards her new sibling, it was just gorgeous to watch.

When baby Goldie came in with her beautiful parents for a Pure Newborn Session, she was a sleepy delight – and with a middle name like ‘Fox’, how could we not dress the little poppet up as her namesake 😉

I’m not a big ‘prop’ person as you guys know but sometimes it just has to be done, haha.


Hanging Out in Ocean Grove with the Merritt Family

I caught up with the Merritt’s a few weeks before Christmas for a family session in Ocean Grove.  While the plan was for a family shoot down the beach, the unrelenting sun saw us spending much more time in the shade of the dunes than I’d anticipated.  Luckily, these guys are super chilled and weren’t fazed at all by a little location displacement!

This sweet little soul came to visit me on his eighth day earthside and barely made a peep.  No matter how many babies I meet, I still get super clucky when a client hands over their squishy newborn!  Here’s a few images from baby Austin’s Pure Newborn studio session.
